"In a Work Hotel, you did not pay for one of life's greatest joys': 'Corporate girlie' gets chastised for complaining of hotel boredom on a business trip

I'm fortunate in a lot of ways when it comes to my job, but one perk I wouldn't mind having is being able to take work trips. Pretending you're important in a couple of meetings, then enjoying the spoils of your all-expenses-paid hotel? Don't mind if I do.

OK, so I know things aren't always like that, but I wouldn't be the one to know. I can only try to live vicariously through the wannabe influencers who want nothing more than to walk us through the experience, warts and all. 

One such individual has recently faced some mild roasting on Twitter after complaining on TikTok that she didn't know what to do in the evenings of her business trip when "alone in a hotel in the Illinois suburbs". Needless to say, many people had some suggestions for her that were mostly easy to achieve. It sounds like an introvert's paradise.

You realize how incredible it is to have an evening to yourself in a new place in a hotel you didn't pay for? Order room service and dance around and jump on the bed. I'm lowkey scared of people who can't fathom just doing nothing alone. That is my preferred weekend every weekend.
